For tough conditions, choose a rugged industrial-style IP54 or IP65 environmentally sealed unit.  Data can be batched through a cradle, sent wirelessly to a local network with RF wireless or Bluetooth-enabled units, or broadcast via a GPRS cellular network for real-time communication on the road.
